Hollie Vanderzee Women in Transition Scholarship
Who Is Eligible?
Bridging People and Places offers an annual scholarship of up to $500 for female students,
aged 30 and above, at transitional points in their lives.
• Priority will be given to unemployed or underemployed women with children.
• The scholarship is for vocational/technical, 2-year or 4-year college programs for the
purpose of securing a degree, increasing job skills, or pursuing a new job skill.
• Applicants must be accepted or enrolled in a certified technical or vocational training
program or an undergraduate college program for the semester following the
application.
• Applicants may be single parents, individuals just entering the workforce, or displaced
homemakers.
• Previous recipients of this scholarship may apply again, providing they are in good
standing with their educational institution.
• Application Deadline is April 30th.
Selection Criteria
The following factors, among others, are considered for each applicant:

ability to finance her education.
How Can the Monies Be Used?
Scholarship monies may be used to pay for tuition, books, child care, transportation, or
educational fees. In most cases, the scholarship monies will be issued directly to the
educational institution.

If for any reason you cannot print these forms, please contact us for a printed copy by mail. All applications must be complete and postmarked no later than April 30 to be considered.
