Finished Sweater: 5 1/2 - 6" across the body and 4 3/4 - 5" top to bottom.Materials: 4 Ply Knitting Worsted Yarn. Needles: Size 5. Gauge: 5 sts = 1" The basic pattern can be varied with cables, seed stitch, stripes and other creative patterns and stitches. The designs and colors are as unique as you are.
Cast on 30 sts. K1, P1 (Ribbing) for 4 rows. Knit 1 Row, Purl 1 row, (Stockinet) for 14 rows. (Should measure 3 ¼", incl. Ribbing) Cast on 8 sts and Knit these 8 stitches and remaining stitches on needle. At the end of the needle, Cast ON 8 sts and K2, P42, K2 to end of row. Knit 1 row. *K2, P42, K2. Knit next row.* Repeat these 2 rows 5 times. *K2, P6, K30, P6, K2. Knit across all 46 sts* Repeat these 2 rows *. K2, P6, K8 Cast OFF 14 sts, K7, P6, K2 (This DOES work!) K16, Cast ON 14 sts, K16. *K2, P6, K30, P6, K2. Knit across all 46 sts * Repeat these 2 rows*. K2, P6, K30, P6, K2. *Knit 1 Row. K2, P42, K2*. Repeat these 2 rows 5 times. Cast OFF 8 sts, Knit to end of row. Cast OFF 8 sts, Purl to end of row. On 30 sts, Knit 1 Row, P 1 Row (Stockinet) for 14 rows. K1, P1 (Ribbing) for 3 Rows. Bind OFF in Ribbing Stitch. Sew together sides and underarms. Bear Headband Cast on 4 stitches. Knit 65 rows (About 7"). Bind off and sew together. Decorate to match sweater. Headband with Visor M ake the headband as directed. Pick up 16 stitches on the headband. P the next row, K the next row, P the next row. K2 tog, K to end. Slip 1, P1, psso, P to end. Repeat last two rows 2 times.K2 tog, K to end. Slip 1, P1, psso, Bind off rest of row in P. Bear Hat Cast on 42 sts. K1, P1 for 3 rows. Row 5, Cast off 24 sts., finish row K1, P1 on 18 sts. Row 6, P 18 sts. Row 7 K 18 sts. Repeat rows 6 and 7 for 8 rows. Next row, decrease 1 st each side of row.
